Only in Samogitia did girls adorn their heads with rangės – crown-like headdresses folded from silk ribbons.

Ištekėjusios moterys ryšėjo kvadratines baltai raudonai languotas skaras, kurių kraštus neretai puošė spalvotų siūlų kuteliais.

Married women wore square white-and-red checked headscarves, often decorated with colourful tassels along the edges.

Turėti šiltą didelę skarą buvo prestižo reikalas, todėl siausdavosi ant bet kokio rūbo, ji tapo neatsiejama moters įvaizdžio dalimi. Išskirtinės buvo pailgos, spalvotos, išilgai dryžuotos ir spalvotais kutais apkutuotos skaros – gūnios.

Owning a large, warm shawl was considered a sign of prestige, and women draped it over virtually any outfit, making it an essential element of their appearance. Especially distinctive were the gūnios – elongated, multicoloured shawls decorated with longitudinal stripes and colourful tassels.

A distinctive feature of Samogitian footwear was the ornamented wooden clog.

Prijuostės išilgai dryžuotos, raudonos ir baltos spalvos, pietų Žemaitijoje jos mėgtos dobiliukų rašto, kelių ryškių spalvų. Marškinių stačia apykaklė, krūtinės užsegimo juostelė ir rankogaliai dažnai puošti raudonų siūlų įaudimais. Liemenės aukštai po krūtine durtos ir klostytos, siūtos iš namie austo languoto, dryžuoto, vienspalvio ar pirktinio audinio. Sijonai išilgadryžiai arba languoti.

Aprons featured longitudinal red-and-white stripes, while in southern Samogitia multicoloured aprons with a clover motif were especially popular. The stand-up collars, front plackets, and cuffs of shirts were often decorated with red woven patterns. Waistcoats were gathered and pleated high beneath the bust and were made from home-woven checked, striped, plain-coloured, or purchased fabrics. Skirts were either vertically striped or checked.
